Velikovsky’s 40 Domain Problems in Screenwriting (or: “Consilient PhDs I’d Like To See”)
So – if you’ve read Creativity (1996) you’ll know that, in the Systems Model of Creativity (Csikszentmihalyi 1988, 1996) there are three sub-systems. They are:
(1) The Domain (i.e. the knowledge),
(2) the Field (the experts, and audience in that domain), and
(3) the Individual (i.e. – You!)
Warning: I’m Now Briefly Going To Talk About – Maths.
Interestingly, in 1900, at the First International Conference on Mathematics (held in Paris, France), David Hilbert presented a list of 23 Domain Problems in Mathematics. Here’s some more on all that, including a neat table that shows just how many of those Problems have been solved by the Field of Mathematics (and, when they were solved).
